"In ten years, we've seen the term 'sustainable' used in a more meaningful
and coherent way. That must be applauded. Increasing awareness and policy
developments give us all some hope. However, a threat remains. We must not
let sustainability become meaningless jargon - a devalued term used to push
products to the anxious or ill-informed. The 'use of a finite resource' is
actually a pretty good definition of unsustainable. Let's be clear and responsible
about what the term means and all try to reach the goal of a sustainable construction
industry."
