"Reflecting on where we were as a profession 10 years ago, it is easy to see a slow waking up to the urgency of the situation. What is taking longer is acceptance of our individual and collective responsibility to become part of the solution.

We are at the beginning of a new industrial age and I believe in five years' time we will barely recognise our current stylistic preoccupations, our focus will be so fixed on reducing the environmental impact of our built environment.
